Need help choosing some headers..

I have an 06' 1500 quad cab 4x4 that the previous owner installed a borla muffler with side tips. I'd like to get some headers but don't know which to get?
Not sure if I should remove the cats or resonator?

What do you guys think?

It's Florida delete it all. Running headman headers and y here no cats thru an aero3030xl very nice sounding. Only down side to the headmans is they are ball and socket and loosen up over time. Pacesetter makes a nice set also.

Depends on the muffler you choose. I opted to put my cats back on. The smell was very strong especially when at a stop. I also run Heddman Headers.

Been looking on eBay and found a set of pacesetters and y pipe for sale. Priced at around $465 you guys think this is a good price?

I noticed it says mega cab. I have the quad cab not sure if this will make a diffrence?

This is the discription

2003-2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi excl. Mega Cab
Header Part Number: 70-2211
Y-Pipe Part Number: 82-1187

Pacesetter headers are mandrel bent, CNC-machined to fit the stock application for optimum seal and flow. The flash-controlled 16-gauge carbon steel primaries provide greater durability than 18-gauge brittle stainless steel. The primaries are sequenced into the collector for the best cylinder scavenging. The aluminized off-road pipes (no catalytic converter) included in this performance package are designed to fit the stock or stock replacement exhaust system with ease. These headers undergoes an extensive preparation phase followed by two applications of the coating and a high-temp curing process.

CNC-machined, 3/8" thick flanges are matched to the exhaust for optimum flow
Mandrel-bent tubing optimized for fit and best performance results
Optional ARMOR*Coat finish improves performance and durability (ask for details)
Comes complete with hardware, gasket and instructions
Headers are one-piece designed for an easier installation
Aluminized off-road pipes designed to fit the factory exhaust
Made in the USA - May Ship From Manufacturer

That's says excluding mega cab so you should be good there. That is a good price.

That sounds like a great price. I would definitely recommend using the OEM mopar gaskets and either OEM 6.1 manifold bolts or stage 8 locking header bolts. You will also need o2 extensions.

Thanks guys I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on those. I'll defenitely get oem gaskets and the bolts recommended. Do you know if I get the non coated headers that have the black paint that burns off, could I just spray paint them with header paint? Does the black paint need to burn off first or can I paint over it?
