Muffler options for MDS

Hello, I have an 06 Hemi with the MDS and am wondering what everyone is using for mufflers? Currently I have duals exiting behind the tires with a cheapie muffler shop muffler and do not care for the tone, I prefer straight pipe but the MDS drone is killer, whats out there that sounds good, fairly loud but does not have the nasty mds drone?

That's the kicker the drone is very hard to get rid of with an aftermarket muffler a flowmaster or dynatech would be good and sound nice but I would suggest using resonators also after the muffler to help kill most of it and keep the exhaust out the rear the farther back the better

In my experience, if you install any after market muffler every time the MDS kicks in, your truck will sound just like ****. The only way to cure it is to turn up the radio.

I found the best way to get rid of the horrible mds sound was to buy a tuner and disable it!

I manually shift mine into 8th gear and turns off the mds in the city. I have a Magnaflow and it sounds like crap when the mds kicks in. But like Pull Ya said pretty much any aftermarket muffler will sound like crap when the MDS kicks in.

I know they are not the cheapest but Borla and Corsa do a great job of tuning out the drone

If it makes any diff I have a 2013 superbee we have removed the factory muffler and both resonators at the back and put 2 rear mounted BORLA attack mufflers back there when MDS kicks in its quiet no drone just keep the exhaust out the rear
