Looking to improve my custom exhaust

I run Pacesetter Long Tubes, and their 3in ORY into 3in piping that dumps over my axles. My current muffler is the same one I slapped on when I bought the truck-3in CherryBomb Pro muffler. My truck runs great, and has a great roar, but in the back of my mind I feel the muffler being chambered hurts my performance. I love the sound, but am not wiling to lose performance over a sound. I have looked into AT3030 for a replacement. And of course there is the back pressure conversation that can go either way. Anyone able to shine a light on me? Thanks.

I use the same setup with a Magnaflow, I don't feel it is costing me any power.

Appreciate that Greg, but did some digging, and found my Cherry Bomb Pro is not as free flowing as some of the others like AT 3030, Magnaflow, Borla. I have heard that making a system that flows too good, and no back pressure will lose torque, any truth to this?

That's a great argument that's gotten a lot of print. I believe the more unrestricted the flow the better....

I was thinking the same which is why I am leaning twds replacing my Cherry Bomb, but I love my torque lol. I don't to spend money if it will hurt my system. I read a lot on the LX boards, and borla has a great sound, and are reportedly better flowing than the magnaflow, so i am definitely intrigued.

My Magnafow has the glass burned out of it and it has really gotten loud when I step on it. I might try a Borla, but whatever I use will be big and straight through.....

Same setup here but with a 14" magmaflow dumped before axel. Big difference from stock an it sounds good. Not loud but deep. Before I scored the maggy from a buddy I was gonna get a 3030, can't go wrong with either IMO
