Been a while since I've been active here...., but with 10,000 on my 2011 Ram Sport, it's time to start playing. Thinking of swapping muffler.....wow, so many choices. Like the dual stock tips.....hmmmm, what to do.

One thing to do if you are staying with single exhaust is replace the factory y-pipe with a free-flowing one like the Magnaflow. The factory y-pipe is very restrictive.

I think Dave missed that your truck is an 11. Factory pipes are fine on the new trucks but a nice rumble is even better. There are many options. I like Flowmaster but some don't. Depends on how loud you want it to be.

I'm going to have to stick with duals since that's what I have from the factory and the bumper has the recessed notches over the pipes.

Absolutely!! Just change the muffler and you should be in great shape. Two in and two out... IMHO

Goes to show what I know about the newer Rams. I though the 2011s had a y-pipe and split into two pipes after the muffler.

So Rancher, any recommendations on a specific muffler? Don't want to kill any performance like my flowmaster 40 series did on my 03.
