Headers for an 05

Looking for headers for my 05 ram QCSB 4wd. Ive ran across a couple of sets on eBay but theyre never exactly for my setup. One set was for a 2wd, another listed as for 06 and later etc. I know the 06 and later 4wds and all 2wds used cool overs while then 05 and down 4wd used torsion bars. Is there a major difference between them? Can I use headers designed for coil spring trucks on a torsion bar truck?

Exclamation

If you haven't already checked on availability - see if Dynatech makes the header application you need - there are many good and acceptable headers out there - my personal choice for quality is the Dynatech with KOOKS being a very close second choice.

Id also consider 09 and up headers in case I upgrade to 6.1 or Eagle heads, would just like to know what mods are necessary to make them fit (if any)

Thumbs up

You should receive several replies from our 4x4 members - many of them are using various configurations and header adaptations...

I believe we put JBA on a 2006 4x4 at my house and we had to cut tab off trans case and the Y pipe was a must and that needed some clearancing also.

I use Pacesetter longtubes and y pipe. Same deal, I had to trim off an ear on the passenger side bellhousing, not a big deal. The y pipe took alittle triming to get it to fit ok. I have the 03 4x4 with torsion bars

Thx for the replies. The more I think about the more Im convinced I should put 09 and up headers on it in case I use Eagle or 6.1 heads. Anyone else put 09 and later headers on a torsion bar truck?
