Frankenstein exhaust system

Been working on peicing together a homebrew custom dual exhaust since last winter and finally made some visible progress this weekend. I had bought a set of Pacesetters, Magnaflow cats, a big Magnaflow SIDO, and this pile of mandrel bent tubing and assorted hardware from Mandrel Bending Solutions:

Also ordered a 2-1/2 to 3" cone from Cone Engineering:

Got started on fabbing up a Merge Y-pipe:

I got stalled a bit trying to figure out how to hang the muffler and tails without a welder at home. I decided to have a local shop do that part, and Friday I went up to Beeline Alignment and had Chad and his guys take a look. I brought the Y-pipe and a few extra pieces of tubing along in case I could get them to hack out the infamous factory Y also. They used one of my mandrel bent 90's and a piece of straight pipe and no more nasty Y!

They got the big Maggie tucked up nice

And hung the MBS tails

3 hours of professional help and I've got a good start on this project. I'll head on back there when I get some tips and have them weld them on also. Now I've just got to get the time to install the headers and fab the remaining pieces.

Thanks, but I didn't weld it, a guy at work did. I just did the cutting and grinding on the tubes I had bought already formed. We don't have a band saw at work so I actually cut those angles freehand with a 4-1/2" cutting wheel and then ground them flat on a large disk grinder.

Some more pics here.
