Edelbrock Mid-length headers

Hopefully these are decent headers because I just won a set of NOS ceramic coated ones on ebay for $252 shipped. Biggest deal for me is the mid-length and CARB EO # since I'm in CA. Should be a little better than standard shorties but not quite as good as long tubes. I hope.

These will also be good because I think one of my stock manifolds has cracked but it isn't leaking at least. I also have a broken stud on the passenger side that I will hopefully be able to get out finally. It's only been broken like that for the last 5 years and 61,200 miles when I replaced the rest of the broken studs/bolts and exhaust gasket....

Good luck! Hope you don’t have too many broken bolts to deal with

Should just be the one. Of course, it's the one that sits right behind the upper control arm mount on the frame so is extremely difficult to get to. I'm most likely going to have to have an exhaust shop do the install for me since it requires welding and I don't have a welder handy.

And in case anyone is interested, there is another NOS set of these, just not ceramic coated, for sale at $295 on ebay right now. Different seller though.

I should be fine running the old SC3815 with these headers still, right? Only other mods are the Fastman 84mm ported TB and an Airaid MIT with the stock air cleaner box, for now.

Realized last night that these are for an 03 with a single cat. Since I have an 04, it has the dual cats. So I can't use the crossover link pipes that this kit comes with. I was going to do the install myself and use flat band clamps to get me to the muffler shop for the welding but it looks like that idea won't work now as I will have to have some custom work done to get the exhaust system to hook up to the headers. I'll be able to get a better idea once they arrive and I can crawl around under the truck to have a better look. I might be able to cut up the link pipes and use a small portion of them to connect to the stock pipes and still use band clamps to make the drive for welding.
