Dual exhaust

I want to go to dual exhaust on my truck. I'm gonna get a Flowmaster 50 single in dual out muffler. What size is the stock pipe? I'm thinking 2 1/2 in 2 1/4 out.

Also, what are you guys thoughts on the mufflers. I was thinking Flowmaster, but have heard good things about Cherrybomb. I want nice throaty rumble at idle and take off.

look into your exhaust and see if someone replaced anything at some point. If your piping is actually that small a higher flow muffler isn't going to do much for you. My '06 was 3" inlet muffler and my '11 is same....

Should be 3"

what I would do is buy you a nice AERO3030 and then a 3" Y splitter and then run dual that way. The aero mufflers are very nice and work great! They actually help do a number of things to the truck. Sound, torque, lower exhaust temps. I will only run aero from now on.

Flowmasters don't really have a throaty sound at take off. They have more of a raspy sound to them. I ran dual flowmaster 30s for over 5 years. They will become louder with time, but not with a deeper tone. I now run a dual in dual out magnaflow tru-X muffler, and it's by far louder and throatier then the dual 30s. I suggest YouTube sampling of exhaust systems on Rams before settling on one. Good Luck
