Borla kits

Just a quick question regarding bolt on systems vs. Welded.

I was looking at the borla dual out cat back system that uses clamps as opposed to welded seams.

Any opinions?

Exhaust drone will sometimes loosen the bolts up on a clamp kits. Just periodically check them when the truck in the air. I've seen people lose them going down the road, and by then it's to late to tighten them up. Usually you run them over and a cars behind you do the same. You then have a 1,000.00 smashed exhaust system, and a insurance claim to deal with. Besides that they're good!!!

In my experience, you hear the rattle of a loose clamp long before the you run the risk of the entire exhaust falling off, giving you ample time to slip under there and tighten in. All of my exhausts have been clamped on, with no regrets. (changes due to pipes rusting out, blowing muffler baffles out, etc.)

Thumbs up

You shouldn't have any problems with a high quality Borla or a Corsa system provided the installation is done correctly .
