Advice on a COMPLETE exhaust.

Trying to stay around the 1500$ mark, heres what I'm looking for. My truck is used for towing, and im trying to get some more tug in the mid rpm range.

Full leingth headers, high flow cats, high flow Y-pipe and (heres the kicker), after the Ypipe, i'd like some sort of second Ypipe, with a valve so I can switch between a straight pipe and a side with a quiet muffler (even my stock will work). The second Y and all that is optional. I can weld all of it up, but will need the pieces pre-fabbed. Whats the best value for this? even if its a kit. any oppinions appriciated?

Shortie Headers to keep the low end torque near stock. Our cats are already high flow. The rest is a toss up, or whatever floats your boat.

Change the muffler and leave the rest.

Save your pennies for 4.56 gears.

Maybe its just me, but some shorties, after market y-pipe, and an at-3030(XL) single out would be enough... or after y-pipe...dual 2 1/2" out (suggest cherry bomb vortex...built in y-pipe)...same result. Not too much cab drone either way.

You can buy standard bends and custom formed pieces at Mandrel Bending Solutions. Send them a sketch and they will quote it. Here's some pics of what they made for me.

The second Y is an electric cutout right?

Good luck!

Yes new blue, the second y would be electric. And wouldent long tube headers help out my midrange torque more than Shorties?

longtubes tend to take away from the lower end and give more up top, as stated i would do shorties, or even mids, good high flowing y , what ever muffler floats your boat, summit has decent prices on e cutouts, also put a turndown on it to drive the exhaust away from the truck. if you are towing a bunch dont do duals out the back, belive me.
