So here it is....pumped up that my muffler is to be installed this morning. Anticipation building up all week for this "event". Arrived at muffler shop early. Tech took it in and up on the lift it went. 15 minutes later shop foreman says he can't install, at least on a weekend...this is going to take longer than he thought. Since the spacing on the Magnaflow is narrower on the exit side when compared to the stock exhaust, and since the stock is tilted (for spacing?) he needs to build to the factory dual pipes if I want to keep them. Oh well, left disappointed and still with my factory exhaust on with the stainless steel Magnaflow still sitting beside me. Dropping it of Monday morning to be finished when I get off work.

mine went on fine, stuck the factory tailpipes in the magnaflow and used about 14" of 3 pipe straight...didnt have to bend anything just swell the factory tailpipes to fit the magnaflow

All he has to do is weld a strap on the pipes right after the muffler to keep them aligned.

Sounds like he is making a small job into a project.

He says it's due to the twisted mounting of the factory pipes that's the problem. Said it would make the exhaust tips way out of alignment since he would have to bring them in together more at the muffler. Did your factory muffler sit flat or was it held at about 45 degrees mounted at an angle? Perhaps the 2011's are slightly different? I'm hoping somebody has an angled setup picture they would be willing to post?!?!

Thanks! Measuring the space between the inside of the output pipes is 1.5" Stock muffler is just over 2.5" By bringing it closer together to fit onto the Magnaflow would surely screw with the spacing at the tips....question is how much? My thinking is if they hanger off the tips close to the end at the tip outlet, and just bring the pipes together to match the Magnaflow, any change in spacing should be minimal at the tip....am I thinking correctly?
