I reversed engineered a Vararam Air Grabber to work on my 3rd with a custom made snorkel about two years ago and thought ya'll might be interested in an update to how its holding up. I couldn't be happier with the performance to which it is doing. I'll post some up close photos, but the only thing I see is a little cracking in the paint on the scoop. There's a little "contact" spots showing on the underside of the hood, top of the filter lid and the scoop itself which isn't to concerning as I designed it to fit within close tolerances. Let me know if you have any questions.
and some shots from the inside to show tolerances. Notice the rubber spacer nipples between the front of the scoop and the back of the radiator support. The rivets on the top of the scoop on the front hold a plastic diffuser (made from plastic diffuser used in neon lights you see in ceilings of office buildings) in place inside to block anything large, ie-birds and such from entering.
