Procharger help.

Hey yall. I'm back with another project I'm working on. I just wanted to put some feelers out and get some insight on running a procharger on my 08 ram
Mods include
LT dynatech header
268 comp cam
4.56 rear
Custom Jay greene tune.

I was looking at using 55lbs srt4 injectors (stage 1).
7 psi boost
Upgrade fuel pump
And get a local dyno tune

My real only concern is the trans. Good ol 545 rfe. I dont plan for this to be a track truck. Weekender and some fun trips. So I shouldn't be beating it up too much.

With the procharger my stock internals should be fine at 7 psi, right?

Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thank yall.

What you listed and low 7psi boost will be fine. The truck will have about 400 wheel and should be fine for you. The trans main thing is watch the downshift stuff under wot it will melt itself
TYSENUS and Redtruck-VA like this.

The problem with superchargers is belt slippage. 7psi won't be as bad as when runninh higher boost but if you want a real fun experience try using a cog belt..

Thanks for the replies. Would yall recommend gauges for monitoring a/f ratio (wideband o2), boost pressure, and fuel pressure?

You will need a wide band for tuning. And most folks like having a boost gauge for visual reference, but your data log will tell the real story so technically a gauge isn't necessary. I use one that lights up like a shift light when in boost indicating the water meth is active.. Note; during boost a lot of things are happening and only a datalog can keep up the all the data.
