MPG after CIA install

How long after resetting the computer (by removing the battery cable for 60 min) will it take for the computer to calculate & calibrate the new MPG?

How accurate are the over head computers?

I would reset the pcm i did not see that much difference in mpg until i reset the pcm. It took maybe a week but my truck stays in mds longer now on the highway and I can now get 25 mpg at 67.
And ive only chcecked once to see if the overhea was correct and it was off by .2 or so, but that was with consistent driveing. I could see if you floored it sometimes and drove it normal otheres it could start to get off.

You don't reset the PCM buy removing the battery cable on an '06,.. you pull fuse 31,.. And I have mentioned it a couple times on the forum about the rest of the steps..

I don't even bother with the overhead mpg anymore...I calculated the actual mpg a few times, and mine was off by as much as 2 mpg. I just jot down the mileage per tank when I fill up on my receipt...

so are you saying that completly unplugging the battery for an hour WILL NOT reset the PCM?

Well I have been told but numerous sources, and 2 dealerships pulling the 31 fuse and cycling the key does it.

Removing the neg battery cable did not work for me..

I reset my PCM by pulling the fuse about 3 days ago and i think i'm getting worse MPG's now. Thats according to my overhead since I haven't filled up since then. Does it take a week or so before i should notice an increase? With my CAI and cherry bomb exhaust, I am getting worse MPG now then when it was stock. Right now i'm at around 10/11 and thats mostly city but with some highway driving.
