K&N Part# 57-1533 Filter Kit

Good morning. I am new to this site and have a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4 with the Hemi and 70k on the odometer.. Bone stock. My question is about the K&N 57-1533 filter kit. I have a chance to purchase a brand new kit for less than half of the retail price. I am looking for some feedback from anyone who may be running this kit. Did it truly help performance or mpg? I like the look of the factory air resonator box with the Hemi logo and do not want to remove it to install this kit if it doesn't offer any true gains. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

Welcome to HTC. I had the airaid setup when I had my 03 hemi. You will feel the difference when you open up the air flow.

Welcome Cwest01.

I have a Mac performance CAI and it made a big difference. My truck is black, and after sitting in the sun all day it was a dog driving home after work. The cold air intake did the trick.

Good luck.

Welcome to the club.

Got the K&N like the one your looking at in the stock box on the Hemi Durango. It likes it.
Of course, ya gotta open up the other end of the motor too.

Move that air in and out for efficiency and horsepower.

Thanks for the advice everyone. The K&N kit sells on Jegs and Summit for $223. I just bought a brand new K&N kit locally off of craigslist for $115. Now to find time to install it and see if I can "feel" the difference!
