is it possible to do this on a daily driver and still be reliable

if so which would be better super or turbo

I am kinda likein the super a little more just because it seems easyer to tune that is probably wrong tho

got a question about turbo or supercharger

Gone1445 there have been alot of topics on this in the forums. I decided to go with the SC myself the reasoning behind my decision is that 5 of my friends are running this system so I get alot of support in my area. Also I am only going to run the 6lb kit on mine. Sure one of the turbo guys will be along shortly to help you.

If you want a turbo that is hidden so that no one can tell you have one (except for the sound) then go with the sts turbo at 6 1/2 lbs of boost to start off with, or just get a GSM supercharger which anyone can tune for the 6 lb boost kit. Just go to the search part of the forum under the find tab and type in supercharger or sts turbo then just do research.

Both the supercharger and the turbo work well but the turbo makes more power sand it makes it sooner. Currently the fuel management on the STS is safer than the GSM because the supercharger uses aux injectors squirting fuel in through the tb which causes lean conditions in the back two cylinders. Your a/f gauge will still read 11.5 etc. but that is an average of all your cylinders so some are runing rich while others are runing lean.
You can use the same fuel kit on the GS though and make it better that it comes from GS. Check out the LX forums as there are a lot of them using the GS kit or at least they were using it.

PM hemi2nv he has the GS and the same fuel kit the STS kits are using.

Yes, I am baised because I have a turbo but like I said they both work for what you want them just don't push the envelope.

got a question about turbo or supercharger

I was just wonderin if one was better in stop and go traffic than the other

my main concern is on the STS the intake is under the truck and here in michigan that probably wouldn't be good when the snow flys

and all the salt they put down geez

but if the intake isn't a problem then I will probably go turbo since I can get a boost controller and just turn it way down when drivin in traffic

The only thing I don't like about the STS, is it's location....look at one thats been on for a year and especially through a season of snow and salt....??????

I have a friend here in Florida with the STS and it doesn't look very impressive after being on there for a year or so....????

Why not custom install a turbo system up in the engine compartment, if he management issues have been ironed out...????

I'm thinking of using a twin turbo setup on a 500" stroker for the street/strip truck at 900-1000 hp....!!!!!

got a question about turbo or supercharger

didn't KRC make a kit like that

turbo on the manifold and colt steele had it on his truck right??

that would be why I want to go super but the turbo seems more affordable if ya get it from STR10KILLR

dont know tho if you could get the GSM for the same price with out the aux injectors and just get the SMT-6 setup will that equal out??

for stop and go traffic, the turbo drives like a normal truck. Also, for the winter, build a box around the turbo, and relocate the airfilter to a higher spot
