This chart must be in dynamic compression ratio to have any relevance.

Of course! Static CR can only be change by mechanical means. ie, lower/higher cc heads, mill head, thicker/thinner head gaskets, deck block, piston configuration, so on.

Sure. I know my engine's static compression ratio is low at 8.5:1, but I cannot use the 8.5 on the chart to compare with my target boost pressure. While the engine is running, the camshaft and engine geometry will dictate a dynamic compression ratio that most likely is lower. (and varying with engine speed). Wallace Racing has a simplified online calculator for this as do engine design softwares.

Nice so mine being a 9.6 static is roughly a 17.5 under boost boy I like the edge I need more boost and head studs and my dei cryo unit

Gotcha, I have never worked on FI, so I'm guessing FI street motors are looking to build max cylinder pressure and use a Med lift and wide lobe separation. Of course this also builds the hottest cylinder gases, which on the other hand might benefit from a little overlap to cool the cylinders some. LOL, I need to do some bench racing to figure a little what you guys are doing. My goals are to skip the FI all together and just build a 10:1 something motor. I really admire the work you guys are doing. Well done!
Thanks,
