Airram CAI bracket on 3rd strike intake

Anyone using this combo? I pulled out the fender mount a few times, rigged up a few other rubber mounts, but finally the tab welded to the tube itself broke last week. It's an 04. Thanks guys

Call Duane at 3rd strike performance. He will be able to assist you in the matter.

PS Welcome to the hemi family.

Ok, I am confused as to what has happened here slick1. Please post some pictures and show me what you are talking about, since there seems to be two different intakes involved?

Duane-PM sent. First day here and already have to figure out how to post pictures!

And to clarify my question is: Is anyone using airram.com's CAI fender mount bracket (the sliding one) with the 3rd strike or any other similar intakes successfully?

I've tried a few home-made rubber mounts and I'm just curious how you guys (making alot more power than I am) aren't breaking the fender mounts on these types of CAI's, as the mounts don't seem to have much flex in them.

Hmm, hadn't thought about that one. Give it a try and let me know how it works out for you. Looks like it would work really good!

I think I will look into getting these instead of bulking up the mount on the tube. Looks like a lot better way to go. What do the rest of you guys think? Here's a pic of the mount he is talking about.

Just ordered the bracket, along with the jet stream scoop when I was at it. I'll give it a try and post what I find.

looks like it could work Duane but i would loose the tie wraps and make a bolt on to the sliding bracket.
would look much better IMO.
I really like the smooth one piece look of yours.
i haven't installed the new one you sent me yet. (3degs tonight and darn )

what's the added cost going to be?
if this would work i would rather have it then the two peice set up.
just a thought.

My brakcet wont stay staright with duanes intake, but i cut my old hose from the vacum line long ways and put it in the hole of the intake box. Doesnt move around or squeek any more. Duane have u ever thought about puting a spring or somthing similar instead of a rubber peice inbetween the fender and bracket. just a thought.
