Hi my names kyle I have a 03 rcsb with remote mount t70 turbo with air to air intercooler it was tuned by diablotoona with 58# injectors and srt4 map and he has normal driving and idling good but at wot it starts to pull then pops and farts and the lighting bolt appears so I cycle the key and not always leaves a code the bad part is it will not throw the code with stock map and big injectors or stock map and stock injectors
Map voltage going too high under boost is the only thing that will cause this problem on my truck. There are several versions of the SRT4 MAP sensor with difference pressure ranges. The tuner will need to know very specifically what the operating range of your sensor is.
Thanks for replying I've heard of a voltage clamp will that help? If so were do I get one. the truck runs the best with
Stock injectors and map with DSP tune but there's not enough fuel so I got the cmr tune 320 lph fuel pump and 58# injectors srt4map and truck won't make a a full wot pull it cuts out when it shifts
I looked up how to make map a clamp and it looks to be adjustable I have enough fuel to keep it safe I think at least to see if I'm going in the right direction
My waste gate is set at 5 psi but I have watched it spike higher .what set up do you guys run for map and tuning .any info or advice is greatly appreciated
I went to the track with stock injector and my DSP set for 20% + fuel at all rpm and timing -3% at 3 psi it ran 13.79 at 99 mph spinning 2.44 60 ft way lean so I got the injectors and map n tune now runs like crap
So I made A map clamp to try and I emailed Johan( diablotoona) at diablosport to see if we can come up with a map solution .has anyone made an 03 run more than 5 psi without a piggyback.also I had this simar problem when I first installed the turbo at the 1/8 mile my truck would go into limp mode so I got rid of the cat because I heard of the cat protection never got a code . I think 03s have a mind of there one or just mine

That time was my second time at the track my first time I ran high 14s because it went into limp mode at half track so I cut my cat off and then it would make a full pass I also have a rcsb which helps.
Ya I've heard that and i never got a code to say why it was going into limp mode and lighting bolt flashes but it would do it every time It hit 3rd gear under boost and removed the cat and never had the problem again. So I guessed that is what it was my local dealership said that there is not a lot of tec data on the 03s like 04 and newer he said to take out rear 02 to see if it could be cat protection and it worked so I put a test pipe in.do you guys run a rear 02 in the factory position
My rear o2 has a non-fouler on it stuffed with steel wool and tucked inside the cross member. No codes for the most part. Removing your cat probably reduced your boost slightly to make the limp mode slightly better.
No part throttle boost tuning here either. I used the SMT6 to get rid of the auxillary fuel injectors that came with my blower kit and to run my SRT4 Stage 2 injectors, boost clamp, adjustable map voltage, plus I can pull up to 10* timing while under boost. I liked the SMT6 so much that I have 4 spares lol.
