Meguiar's nxt generation Tech Wax!

Sweeet, waxed a Pepsi can and OMG did it freaking shine it up! Now to my question, LOL. Do ya'all recomend using dish soap to strip the truck of all other wax before using the nxt wax? What kind of dish soap, Dawn, Palmolive, etc, or does it matter, LOL?

LOL, 67 R/T said he stripped his with dish soap and then applied the wax, just wandering if that was a common practice for waxing.

Me personally... I wouldn't use dish soap on my truck's finish. I'm sure Mequires or someone makes a wax stripper of sorts...

just wax it for two times in a row and it will shine. no dish soap hurts the clear coat. all i do is polish then wax it.

Meguiar's nxt generation Tech Wax!

Just used the Mr. Clean car wash thingy and Meguiar's NXT Gen wax and WOW! This is really the first time I have been able to wax my truck since I bought it, aside from using the Eagle One spray wax a couple of times. Both the Mr. Clean and the Meguiar's work beautifully. I was really impressed with the wax. As you rub it on, you can watch it cleaning off contaminants and old wax, and a little extra elbow grease gets off old crusted-on bird ****. The best part is that once it hazes up, it is easy to wipe off, it doesn't leave a lot of that white residue on the plastic trim pieces, and the shine is unbelievable. Thanks for recommending this stuff, guys!
