Wanting to install, mostly, interior LED lights but never have tried this before, need to know if some OEM bulbs can just be changed out for the LED lights. Can the LED's be hooked up to use with a "dimmer" switch and a on/off switch and does one need to be careful when it comes to the correct voltage/watts, etc. With all the numerous little computers that now fill every nook and cranny, I don't want to tap into something that may crash a computer or worse yet, void the warranty. I've been on a lot of sites that deal with LED's but for some reason I just can't find the right answers for the questions I have.

Music modulated circuit with 2 LED strips?
I have just completed a circuit loosely based on the following diagram:
Circle LED Tube

I am using a split outdoor led strip lighting 12V wall adapter instead of a battery to power the circuit, and it works fine. Thanks to the TIP31 transistor, the brightness of the flexible led strips directly corresponds to the audio signal coming from the iPod. I have the audio cable split between the source and circuit so it can be listened to simultaneously.
