Home Made Bull Bar

I am looking to make my own Bull Bar for my 11 ram 1500...
I drew it up in SolidWorks to get a better idea of the look.
What do you guys think?

There will be a 13" single row LED Light bar in that bottom tube.

Also, I haven't installed one of these before, how doe they usually do it?
I was thinking about tapping my tow hooks and using some beefy bolts.

To give you some scale, that is 4" x 2" tube...

It looks neat but functionally it's off I think. Usually a bull bar is supposed to be out farther on top to direct things under the truck such as stumps and deer. That design looks like it may direct things right into the radiator....unless I'm looking at it wrong which is a definite possibility since I'm not used to looking at cad programs lol

I am trying to keep it tight to the truck, I didn't think about the "direct things under the truck" aspect. I will be lowering the truck and don't want to reduce approach angle anymore than needed but I may need to lower it some.

Thanks

As long as you're using the tow hook locations for mounting it shouldn't affect approach angle any as the air dam on the bottom of the bumper will still be lower. It looks good but won't work functionally the way a bull bar is designed to work. If you're ok with it not being functional, build it and see or maybe mock build one out of some cardboard or something

A little update on my Bull Bar... Its done and installed. I think it looks good...
I am happy with how it came out, its a little smaller than I thought it would be but thats ok, and the LED light bar is a sweet addition to the truck...
