Grille Dilemna

I would like to order this grill insert:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-02-05-D...0edd69&vxp=mtr

The problem is that it's an insert only and I can't find the shell/frame/molding or whatever it's called. All of the shells have a crossbar of some sort through them and none are completely open like the one in the picture.

I contacted the seller and they are worthless as to information. Their reply was "we sell inserts only, give us five stars on Ebay".

Am I missing something here?

Will need a 1 piece grill frame for that to work

I believe I have this solved, but it would really be a lot easier if the sellers of these grill inserts gave more information.

It appears that you have to manually cut the crossbars out and use the original shell sans the crossbars. Here is the best illustration of that:

I went to Royaltycore's site... very nice stuff! Expensive as Hell, but if your looking for something truly unique, this is the place.

Anyhoo... It looks like I will be investing in a dremel...

I'm going to order a new shell, they are pretty cheap. I'll practice on my old one first.

I would get a used grill, out of a salvage yard to practice on, that way when you mod. your grill, you will know what not to do. You will be able to avoid mistakes made on the used grill.
