Unhappy Grille chrome bubbling

Hey guys,

my grille has a big ugly bubble What are my options? Is the chrome removable? Should I paint it black? Just replace it???

I thought about going with a black grille, but afraid it won't look right since bumpers/wheels/badges are chrome too (I like my badges, thank you)

Mine is starting to delaminate also.

I am just going to replace it with a black one that I will paint to match the body.

I have been told that the crome will come off if the grill is soaked in Clorox. Don't know how long it would have to soak or if it works or not.

Let us know what you do.

Question Options???

Does anyone know if these parts can be successfully powder-coated? If so you could have several color-matching options...

I bought a unchromed cowl from eBay and had it painted. I had small blisters started on the old OEM one.

Plastic would have to withstand 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
I know bumper covers won't, not sure about grille.

Some of you have painting skills, I do not. I bought a unpainted shell from ebay and took it to a local paint shop. Had the emblem filled in and painted for $175. which compared to most places IMO is cheap.
