Debadging question...

I was thinking of debadging, but my truck is a year old now. Will the black paint have faded enough that a "ghost image" of the badge will remain behind??..

No... you should be okay. The badges are on the side and tailgate where they do not get the direct sunlight. If we were talking hood or roof, it might be a different story. I had my Hemi for over a year when I decided to debadge... no issues. Just make sure you give the area a good wax job!

Debadging question...

Welcome Gotham...Cool to have another local boy posting...welcome to the club. I have been cruising Taylor hard and heavy for the last couple of weeks for work and will be back through tomorrow...we should meet up sometime, HemiC and I are getting the Michigan Chapter rolling soon...all 4 of us...lol. I have a Black ram that I de-badged all but Hemi emblems, I just removed them last night...like MH said, wax is the key to removing outlines from adhesive/way....PM me if you want, I'll shoot you my cell...or email me at [email protected]

Cool! Also - I don't know if you're aware of this, but your Avatar isn't working. It just says "Picture of Gotham Kruzer".

Debadging question...

Alright, couldn't stand it any longer. This stuff is addicting... Didn't have money to do anything else and had to do something...so, I debadged the truck today. Except for the Hemi emblems, I ran out of daylight. I like it!!!!!!!! Great idea!!!! I will be pretty busy for the next few weeks. Next slow down and the Hemi badges are gone! I like one of the ideas that I read earlier about cutting out the "Hemi" and maybe putting it back without the Magnum and 5.7 Liter part. My baby looks good... sleek, clean...

Debadging question...

Well I've debadged but I'll never take the Hemi badge off. At least around here the first thing anyone looks at when they see a Dodge is that little spot in front of the front wheel...
If it has a Hemi badge they smile, if it doesn't they don't bother to take a second look.

I know, I want to take them off and cut off the Magnum and 5.7 liter and just put the Hemi back on.
