Daytona wing Q?

I scored a Daytona wing from a CL ad for partial trade!! My question is is there any mounting hardware that supposed to be there and how far forward from the tailgate do I mount it???

Daytona Wing

This is the voice of experience talking. NONE AVAILABLE.

You must improvise.

But, it is worth the effort. The only negative is that it is "fixed" into position and it limits how you can load things into the bed. Of course, it's the same way from the factory.

Here is a pic of the mounting screw that is fixed to the box of the truck. You will see there is a slot in the bottom of the wing which fits onto this. Haven't had my wing on in a couple of years so can't remember for sure, this slot is towards the back of the base of the wing and once the wing is in place a screw or bolt is then inserted from inside the box at the front end of the base to complete the installation.

for my non factory set-up I had to improvise like I said above. Instead of of the stud Sideshow pictured, I used a button head carriage bolt with a square cross section above the threads. The square section raised the button so that the slot in the wing would slide over it. Then as he said, a simple machine bolt through the bed rail held down the front edge of the wing.
