Benefits of a Bullbar

What are the benefits of having a bullbar on your truck? Do they do anything or are they just for looks?

If you ever have to run a bull out of a pasture they're great. Most folks just haven them for looks. What ever floats your boat is the way I look at it.
You notice I don't have one on my truck....but the front of my Gator is broke all the hell from cows kicking it.

Even for the occasional minor "oops" by pulling in an inch to far a scrape on your bull bar is much easier to repaint/repair then the trucks actual bumper.

Also for morons who don't bother to look in mirrors or through back windshield when in reverse.

I hit a deer this winter 3 months after I put my brush guard on, glad it was there! Would've probably been buying a head light, grille, maybe radiator. Theres nothing strong in the front of these trucks.

putting that bull bar... how much more weight did it add onto the vehicle? did you put on a full bumper replacement on the back? Did it affect the gas mileage?
