hi there folks.....looking for opinions or electric air horns. Want to upgrade my horn but do not want to get into all of the air tanks...compressors etc. I am looking for as close to the same deep train horn tone those systems give you but in an electric option. Im considering the WOLO POWERHOUSE horn but I think the sound is a little too high pitched. What do you have on your truck or what would you reccomend? Thanks

I have a Stebel Nautilus Compact Dual-Tone 12-Volt horn on my truck. I replaced the OEM horns with it located in the original position. I also have one on my VTX motorcycle. It's plenty loud.

I'm not sure there's any ondemand electric kits out there that can produce a very low tone

I have a hornblasters K3LA complete kit and it is incredibly loud and fun to use but that's just me I just don't think the electric ones have the air push power that a 7g 150psi tank have behind them

Happy hunting thou

Thank you for the response....That horn is still a little too hogh pitched for me tho. I wastched a video on you tube titled "Bigger than a Train Horn #2 (Ferry Horn)". I know its a huge horn but I was hoping to find the same tone...just not as loud that you need ear protection.

Absolutely agree, totally different class of horn, still 139db is loud and wieghs no more than the OEM horns.

By no means can a self contained air horn match the big volume horns but the Stebel does sound deeper than what was heard on the video.
