Fellow Hemians,

I have an 04 Ram. Will any of the newer style rear bumpers with the exhaust cut outs fit my truck? I've looked at some and I'm concerned about the way the corners tuck into the bed molding. Thanks for any info.

To my knowledge it will not work just by bolting it on. I think it will take extensive body work and fabrication to make it work.

As fas as I can tell the 4th gen bumpers need some fabrication to work. They redesigned a lot of the truck, even us 4th gen guys with chrome bumpers cant just swap to a sport bumper without fabricating something, same goes for the HD Bumper/Hood/Grill swap...

Some years back I wanted to do something with my 03 rear bumper. I thought about adding exhuast cutouts to it and smoothing it all out. Finally I ended up just painting it to match the body color. I immediately hated the look. It simply didn't look right to me from different angles. I guess what I'm saying is be flexible and don't get so much into it that you can't scrap the whole thing if you become unhappy with the new look. Good luck...
