Projectors for 03

I am looking to replace my stock lights before winter as they are getting hazed. I have been looking into LED/HID but do not want to put into a stock assembly. That got me looking into projectors but they all have the halos, which I do not want.

With that being said, I am looking for projectors that will fit minus all the LEDs and halos. Any recos????

I like these but they are out of stock and cannot seem to find them anywhere else:

Those lights are your best option I would say. Most lights that are projector have that halo ring and they suck the projectors are very low quality. I got a set of tinted factory lenses with HID lights in them and they work fine.

Thanks all...I think I found an option but have to call the HID store to see what their thoughts are on these: 2LHP-DGP02JM-RS by Spec-d; a strong Black color; 4.5 star review.

I have been reading a lot on these HIDs and they have received a lot of praise: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/al...ect_restrict=1

Am going to see if they have had any issues with the Spec-D projectors and their lights fitting and melting these housings. I will let you know where I net out! Excited about this one.

You can also change out your regular bulbs in the OEM Housings for the brighter OFF ROAD 80/100 Watt bulbs made by HELLA...I ran those for years with no problems. They also have the 80 Watt for the fogs too...

Are they street legal? It gets dark in the mountains and looking for street legal options. Thinking about an LED light bar for trail roads too.

Have had the old girl for 13 years and about time I have a little fun with her

No technically these HELLA 80W/100W headlight bulbs (9007) are not street legal however as I mentioned in the earlier post I never encountered any problems with oncoming traffic, state inspections, the law or even a burned out bulb in over ten years of use. Just use your head and keep them at normal height and dim when necessary. As for using the HELLA 80 Watt bulb (9006) in the fogs it is difficult to see how a problem could exist since the lens has a fluted pattern. Also since you are a Gen.III Ram wire your fogs independently so you can use them any time you need them with high beams, lows or fogs only. If you do choose to try this route I would also purchase the heavy duty plug-n-play harness adapter that has heavier duty copper wiring and heat-resistant plug ends.
Additionally on Gen.III Rams it is easy to mount extra lighting firepower on the bar in front of your radiator behind your grille for much greater visibility. There are many styles and good brands on the market...PIAA, HELLA, KC just to name a few...
if you choose to go this route .

Thanks for the advice.

I ended up going with the stock look and went with a set of "OEM" headlights from headlightsdepot.com. Just did not want to mess with a retro fit and all that mess. They came with a lamp installed (GMBright...) but swapped them out with a set of PIAA Utra White headlights. I have to say that I am very pleased with the initial result.

The headlight assembly is pretty good but def not true OEM quality, but will be fine for now. The reflector pattern is slightly different and the output is a bit different as well but still a lot better than old hazies.

The lamps are super bright and I guess time will tell on the overall quality and durability.
