No Brake lights

Same issue as 4x4HEMIrig had:
http://www.hemitruckclub.com/forums/...quit-8457.html

Made a point of searching the threads on tail light problems first.

'04 1500 5.7L

Currently: Neither the left or right brake light works, the cab bake light does.

This started out as only one brake bulb gone bad, which I was going to fix today.
Decided to clean the throttle body, top the fluids, clean the battery posts, and spray down that power steering valve with the steel lines, with a bunch of brake clean, to find the leak in there.

Somewhere in the process I lost my brake lights. May have sprayed something else with the brake clean .. ?

Six pin brake switch showed one post constantly hot at 12v, the next pin open, or hot at 12v if I let out the plunger. Changed it for new anyway.

Rear bulbs are good as far as I know. Alway made it a point to sandpaper down the contacts and apply a touch of grease with a bulb change, and never had them all go bad at once.

Rear plugs to tail and brakes show:

Five pins; two on the left and three on the right.
Bottom left pin is black ground and both sides meter to the body at 1-2 ohms
Top left pin is neutral with respect to ground.
Top right pin is +9.5v +/- to ground
Middle right pin is +9.5v +/- to ground
Bottom right pin is neutral to ground.

Tail lights work, blinkers work, haven't checked the reverse light, but know it was working the last morning I drove it.

This is all I know at this point. I've read a good number of threads on this, which had some good advice.

Trying to think back to what I could have done to turn one bad bulb into no brake lights.

Left is dark green/white
Right is white/light green

Check these two wires for power unplugged from light assembly to ground with a meter brake applied. Should be battery voltage or more if running. Your brake lights run thru the front TIPM/ fuse box the high mount is direct pedal to light kinda stupid to me but hey I didn’t wire it.

The switch under the dash has three sets of contacts one for the third brake light which is as mentioned just 12v to the light. Another set is for a ground sense to the pcm to disengage cruise control. And another to the IPM to actuate the rear brake lights.
When the emergency flashers are actuated the brake lights flash. The manual states this switch is a one time install and set. Not be removed and reinstalled. I have no idea why.

It's like you said. Those two pins (right and left) are the top left pins on the connector. When the truck is running these two pins meter out at 11.2v. When the truck is turned off they initially meter out at 9.8v-10v, then go open to no voltage. I don't want this to get any crazier but, with the truck running I'm not able to shift into any gears from the park position now. Wasn't doing this yesterday. When it mentions not reinstalling the brake switch are they meaning unseating it from the mount, or removing the plug ??

Had the '04 service manual downloaded at one point, but a voltage spike wiped out that laptop.

Answer was two bulbs. One bulb I knew was out the other wasn't burned and you had to look close to see the break in the wire contact (Sylvania 3057). Now I remember backing into a steel post just the other day. That must have unseated bulb #2.
