I have ordered new headlights with red halos and 2 20" red led light bars for behind the grille. My question is do yall run a relay or just direct to the switch? I've heard its better to use a relay so all the amp draw doesn't go through the switch. I ordered 2 switches, 2 relays and 2 fuse links. And one more question. Do yall run the power to the battery or splice in to a hot wire under the dash? Thanks for any advise in advance

Definitely use a relay and a fuse. There shouldn't be any problem running the power directly from the battery.

Here's a diagram.

You could switch the ground to pin 86 and have the hot side of the coil (pin 85) connected all the time.
