Cool

Ramsey88 (Harrold, do you have a part # for the little bulbs that illuminate the hvac controls? Mine went out last week)

I just ordered the three bulb set for my truck as two have burned out in my heater/AC control. The set I ordered comes complete and fits three bulb units only in 2001 thru 2011 Rams 1500, 2500, & 3500. comparable with P/N's 5013815AA & 05013815AA. The set cost me $13.50 including shipping.

Cool

Pulled my center dash panel to replace the HVAC control light bulbs. I think the light bulb and sockets are one piece units. The three set I ordered arrived this morning. Very easy to replace, I had only one working, with all three looking black and burned. The controls should light up very well now.

How hard is it to get to the bulbs? Do you just pull the dash panel off?

On my 2007 I dropped the drink holder down, removed the two screws that go in the underside of the center panel. Then I used a trim stick to work around the bottom and sides of the panel. Once it is out a little bit I pull straight out and the panel comes right off. Lay the panel down and you can see the back of the HVAC control. The three bulb holders are visible and can be removed with the simple counter clockwise twist of a screwdriver. Pull them out and drop the new ones in, they are the bayonet type so a quarter turn installs them in place. I checked them out once it got dark and man what an improvement, even the knobs light up now.

Cool

You can also see the panel removal process on U Tube which is the same as if you were going to remove the radio. Best of luck on your project.

Thanks John! One last question, did you remove the drop down cup holder or just open it up?

Cool

All you need to do is open it for access to the two screws. When I put mine back together I left out the screws, as the panel is very tight when you press it back into place.
