i have on 08 and when i put the left directional on , both the right and left blink. if i hold the left down with some force the situation is normal. also when i put the wipers on, they go very slowly and when the directional is used, they speed up.
is there a replaceable module that interfaces the directional/wiper lever??

It may be a problem in the multifunction switch in the steering column. Does tilting the steering wheel have any effect on the symptoms?

The problem only seems to happen with the steering wheel tilted all the way down
And not happen with it tilted all the way up

Does this make sense ?

In the manual it says this about the multifunction switch:
Quote:
A single integral connector receptacle containing four terminal pins on the back of the switch housing connects the switch to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the instrument panel wire harness.
Could be a loose electrical connection. If any function of the multifunction switch is bad the whole switch unit has to be replaced. In any case getting to the switch and the electrical connector involves removing the airbag and steering wheel. They made it real easy to get to didn't they?

I removed the shroud around the steering column and inspected the electrical connection into what i am going to call the switch. not sure if it is the same switch that you are talking about. after inspecting the connection, removing the connector and re installing it, checking for proper slack on the wiring harness to accomodate the "tilt" movement. i took teh truck for a drive and the problem didnt repeat itself.................yet
time will tell, i left the column shroud off so i can further inspect

as i drove to work this morning the problem surfaced again. do you know if the multifunction switch is the module that the directional and hazard button ar directly attached to?

Thanks
