High quality LED's are usually very bright - much brighter than the old school 'single-bulb' fixture so why not base the decision on an actual recorded lumen output that meets the DMV requirements rather than some subjective doofuss saying they're too dark .

Well I took my truck to another shop to get it inspected.( wife drove!!LOL) As I expected it passed! The other shop just saw a cute young blonde with a fancy truck and saw $$$$. So they tried to rack up as much wrong as they could to get her to spend money! So I just cut off the pink sticker and went else where and they didn't see any thing wrong with the truck! So I guess the tint stays!!!LOL

Finally got the tail lights tinted. I went with a tint I found on ebay. Came out just like I wanted them, dark. I'll post a night picture so you guys can see the visibility with this dark a tint.

Get a Line-Of-Fire-Strip and solve the problem.

Yeah I was thinking of a light strip.

Anyone know of any with a really bright back up light?

I am a firm believer in the RECON line of products. They do cost a little more than some of the ebay, knock-off or off brand products but they at least seem to be higher quality and their lights are very bright and they work.

PS: They also sell bright led backup bulbs for your tails...

My 2 cents worth,
