Almost failed inspection.

I was told by 2 inspection stations that my truck wouldn't pass inspection with tinted tail lights. 3rd time was a charm though. They didn't blink an eye or say a word about them. Maybe its because I had my daughter with me the last time. She's cuter than I am.

Heck, the place that does ours only checks the lights/signals, tires, and the horn on the 4 wheelers. Too bad they don't do DOT inspections on the 18 wheelers.

That's correct, tinted taillights are illegal in Texas.
