2017 OEM Cab Lights wiring

Hey, I'm going to install the OEM clear cab lights on my 2500 and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a wire already in the A pillars to hook up to or the best way to wire them in on a 2017. I already looked on the passenger side A pillar and there is one black wire over there which looks very much like the XM radio antennae wire and that's it. The drivers side has a big bundle of wires...

Thanks for any info.

I'll update this post as I go, because I've spent way too much time looking for an answer and maybe what I find out may help someone else.

The story so far:

I looked in the fuse box by the battery and spot F79 is for clearance lights. It's got a 15 amp fuse in it! That's good.

The wire on the underside looks to be green with a yellow stripe, but I'm not 100% on that. When I tear down the headliner I'll see if a green w/yellow stripe wire ends in a connector with nothing pugged into it, that would be just too sweet. But if not I'll keep digging and testing.

On a side note, most of my fuses were half inserted into the fuse box. I pushed them down the rest of the way...whatever.

First off my son installs this stuff for a living He said if that has the aluminum roof DONT PUT THEM ON you will play hell trying to get them to ground even the dealer wont install them. also the screws wont hold: steel and aluminum don't mix. even the sealer for the lights wont seal on aluminum, try a magnet on it.
If you have a steel roof what he does is snake a wire down the drivers side to under side of truck and tie onto the trailer parking light wire. NOTE he hasn't had a 2017 yet but that's what the dealer has been telling them even with wiring camper shell lights

And yet another reason to NEVER buy a FORD!

But good point, I just ran to the garage with a magnet! Ram is ALL STEEL (still...)

I am going to look pretty hard under the roof liner for that green wire with the yellow stripe. It's got to be there if they even put a fuse in for it! (hoping.)

Thanks!

My son called me today and said he just did a 2017 dodge he jump into the parking lights in the dash and I overloads the computer because the lights are computer controlled. He snaked a wire back to the 7 wire round plug for the trailer plug and grounded it in the drivers kick panel. the trailer wiring is not controlled by the computer its a White with brown wire back at the plug he said it works great. He said he tore apart the truck and never did find a plug for cab lights. He called dodge and they said it does not have one. GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the info. It may be a while before I actually get to do this project. It's -4 degrees outside now. OUCH.

I think I'll wait until it's at least in the 40's. That may take a few months!!!
