10 years, 4 months and 5 days.

Hi all,

No, the title has nothing to do with jail time . That's actually the amount of time it took for my drivers side headlight to go out. I purchased the truck new on Dec. 31, 2005 and the drivers side headlight just went out on Thursday evening (5-5-16). These obviously are the original equipment and I am pretty pleased with the result, I think I got my money's worth out of them. I already have replacements and will keep the remaining headlamp as a spare in the truck, just in case. I had previously had the belt and hoses changed just as a preventive measure and that was a few months ago, they lasted over 10 years themselves. Yeah, when it comes time I think I'll buy another Dodge Ram, but not yet...this one still has a lot of life in her.

Kept messin' with it.

Hey all,

Well, I broke it. I couldn't get my aftermarket halo headlight just right so I kept messin' with it and low and behold...CRACK!!!! I dun broke it...LOL. Well, I am going back to the original headlights. Which isn't going to be easy being that when I changed out the original headlights to the halos, I kinda threw out the connectors that I cut off the truck. So, now I need to know where I can find the turn indicator end from the truck side. The headlights I have are the original replacement parts and I need the male, looks like a 3 pin connector. I've looked for pig tails and nothing looks familiar, then again I changed the headlights when I bought the truck new in "05". Any help is as always greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe a salvage yard or dealer.

There are some pigtail adapters available that use heavier gauge wiring and better quality plugs which plug into the stock headlight and the original wiring harness - they were used for adding length if needed and to keep the original OEM headlight side plug from melting when using high wattage off-road bulbs.
