Trade 20s for 17s?

Is there any benefit to running 17 inch wheels over the stock 20 inch wheels? My eventual plans are Billsteins to level and 35 inch tires...nothing bigger and probably no body lift.

The ability to have more sidewall is about all I can think of.

They are lighter too. My winter rims are 17" with duratracs, on dry pavement it is much easier to break traction with smaller rims as they are easier to turn. Rubber compounds and tread designs have a lot to do with that too, 4x4 tires suck for racing unless you're trying to fool everyone into thinking you have lots of power by spinning them

Cheaper tires...I think that's what I'm taking away from this thread. lol Cheaper wheels also. I've seen a couple guys willing to trade some black 17s and tires for stock chrome 20s, so I just thought I'd ask. Thanks for the replies, guys!

for example, toyo open country mt @ 1010tires are 399 each in 37X13.5 17 and they are 559 in a 20...so 160 more a tire which is damn close to buy new 17" rims....plus sell your 20's and offset the cost even more and save on tires in the future...thats my logic behind it
