Tires 305 vs. 285 60 vs. 50

Hello all, looking at new tires in the near future and was looking for some opinions, positive/negative comments or whatever. I currently have the stock 20's with the Goodyear HP 275/60/20 with the HEMI 5.7L motor.

Looking to probably go with the Goodyear GT2's next but I wanted to ask a few questions first. Im already aware of what all the numbers XXX/XX/XX mean so I don't nead any explanation with that. Heres what im after. Trying to decide 305 vs. 285 and 60 vs. 50

1. Any advantage/disadvantage of running a 305 vs 285 other than the obvious that the 305 will be wider?
2. Will the 305's make the truck noticably slower?
2. If switching to either of these tire sizes will my speedo be off?
3. On the 60 vs. 50 tire height, other than the 50 giving a lower profile look and bringing the truck down a smidgen are there any considerations to be taken.

the 305 will be show you going slower than you really are but it will only be by 3 mph and the size would be 305/50/20 and that is wider and a hair taller, would put alot more tire down or the ground for better grip and handling the 285/50/20s are what i ran before i got 22s and i like them alot but they show alot of fender well so i dropped mine after that.

Well, since Photo Album option is down i'll jus post several replies with photos, but before I do in answer to your questions: noticed increase in traction due to being wider, did not notice any slowing of the truck; your speedo will be off, very slight tire rub on front wheels at full turn, nuthin to worry about, in my opinion the truck has a much better looking stance because of the wider tires slightly bulging out from the tire rim, kinda of gives er a more bad a#@ look...

I always thought about going with 305's in the back and 275-285's in the front. I got 275's right now, and they look nice on the front, but would like to have wider on the back.

Money if i had to do over that's exactly what I'd do...in fact after i get a few mile on these i'll prob do that ...Fronts a little clunky with the 305's on it...what do you thinkShsuhemi...would that be ok to do, 305/50's back, 275's front...think i'd stay with the stock size up front..
