Throttle Body Spacers, a good thing?

Are any of you guys using throttle body spacers? If so what are your thoughts and experiences? Would you recommend them, if so what brand? Thanks.

Throttle Body Spacers, a good thing?

You can do a forum search on this subject... lots of info available (not too many positive endorsements though...).

Just as an FYI Chad TAT2Hemi had one on his 1500 4x4 and while his and mine were the only ones to dyno correctly at the first Rally his was showing a +10hp 260 at the rears wheels over mine (~250). I dont know how well that answers your questions but the whine from it would drive me nuts.

Throttle Body Spacers, a good thing?

news flash, i had went back to stock afew weeks ago and sold my stuff to mike, well i could not take any more so i got a volant cai and it was nice and clean but lacked the sound i was missing so i order a MAC cai and a MOTORVATOR SPACER and i belive that this is the best setup i have had. MY truck is a beast now for the first time i can power brake on dry pavement(3.55)lsd rear end.the motorvator is a 1"spacer with a vortex design that does not whistle like the poweraid.now all i need is superchips,4.10 gears and headers and i will have one nasty beast. YES IN MY OPIONION THE SPACER DOES WORK AND MY GAS MILEAGE HAS INCREASED ALOT. hope this helps i have ran about every cai on the market and my 2cents is the mac for sound and power increase for a clean looking cai volant is nice.like they say everyone has there own opionion like a$$holes but i am very very happy with this setup and i gave my dad the volant for his hemi.

That is good info. I knew they worked well with carbs ala a high rise manifold, but was unsure with the Hemi FI. I may have to invest in one. Thanks

This is an opinion topic i think. I have the poweraid spacer from airaid. I think it helped mid range but without a dyno who knows. I think Freeze has one also. I got used to the whistle so i don't even hear it anymore

Yeah. That actually went away when I switched to Mobil 1.

I know that for the dual bore
TB's used on the 5.2L and 5.9L
Magnum engines they are useless.
Dyno proven by many with those
engines. As far as the Hemi goes
I don't know if they are any good.
I have heard they work on the 4.7L
which uses the same single bore style TB
mounted in the same fashion. I guess
one could buy one and dyno results.
If don't work their is allways Ebay.
