rear wheel bearing?

4 months ago replaced the frnt L wheel WHB, last week the right ( money issues), Now the right rear wheel has the whump whump sound. Jacked it & the wheel has play. Its an 06 Q 4x4 with 82k miles. Is this normal? Never done a rear wheel before, I appreciate any advice!

It's not that simple buddy. You have to pull the diff cover and remove the brakes and the axke on that side to get to the axke bearing in the diff tube. You will need a slide puller or old schools way remove left side and use a really long bar thru diff assembly to drive opposite out.

the sound might be a tire noise. Never had a bearing making a whump whump sound. most of the time the growl. Swap tires to the front and see if the noise moves with them?

Is the axle leaking? Usually a bad bearing will take out the seal.

Dry as a dessert bone Redtrk. Just remembered , spun out in the snow & popped a curb on said right side.not hard just thumped. If that caused this problem then, dodge should have never made a 4x4. could i have possibly warp an axle?

Sliding into a curb is a good way to bend a axle. Easy to check. Put a floor jack under the pumpkin and lift the wheels off the ground. Start her up and spin the rear wheels and see if the spin true or not.
