P-dippin Rims??????

I want to try plasti-dip on my rims, but i wanted a gloss finish black, anyone try this stuff - the enhancer that is.... says you can make matte to gloss

Plasti Dip Enhancers | Dip Coating | Plasti Dip Interntional

Also, can i just tape of my tires and spray away? after i've clean obviously... or do all the caps need to come off

Best thing to do is take the wheels off. Use 5x7 index cards and go around the rim. Then spray away inside the index card area.

I haven't personally used the enhancer but several places around here are doing full cars in plastic dip with the enhancer.

Have to agree with Aaron...he knows how much I love the stuff. Gloss doesn't look hard at all, just take your time.

i think matte looks fine on alot of things, but I'd rather have gloss on a gloss black truck. My dragster (photo album) has gloss black rims and matte black paint job on the body and it looks killer, but the other way around to me looks weird. I'll give it a shot, i'm lazy... do i take the rims completely off or can i spray with centercaps on?

i went a different route and turned it into gunmetal, loved the result. what i did was spray the plastidip to desired coats as per normal, but while the final coat was wet i misted a can of gunmetal above the rim, holding the can upside down to get mo0re metal flakes. love it and because the coat was wet it stuck great and shined real nice with tire shine.
