Nittos ??

Looking to replace the Goodyear SRAs on my 2014. Anybody have any experience or knowledge on the Nitto Terra Grappler? A guy I work with said he had a set of them and got 50,000 miles out of them while pulling a heavy trailer.

I have seen them get that before but you have to make sure the alignment stays good and rotate them every 3k.

I've had Nitto terra grapplers on my last truck and current truck. I think they are great tires and like Ketih said with alignment and proper rotation they'll last a long time.

Nittos

Thanks for the responses. I will probably look pretty hard at the Nittos since other members have had good luck with them. I already talked to Discount Tire about prices and they quoted about $ 1150.00 out the door for set of 265 60 20 with a 10 ply rating. My truck came with 275 60 20s on it, but the selection of LT rated tires in this size is very limited. I could move up to 275 65 20s. Just have to make up my mind which one to go with.

I run Nitto on my truck, but I can only get about 10,000 out of a set for some reason.

So true. I got 46K out of my OEM Goodyear tires by rotating every oil change. When I did change them out, the shop was shocked they lasted so long and weren't even completely gone yet. even with all the to win I used to do.

I have nitto 420s( a street tire) but got them cause a friend had them on his truck, he still has them tho there bout done. He's at about 40k miles +/- an that's on a lowered truck that he made a few track passes with an deff smoked them a time or 2. But always was on top of his rotation. I've got about 8k on mine an they got lots of life left. I haven't had a pair of tires last me more than 20k miles yet lol but these will do 30k plus at this rate

Your lucky they didn't blow up. I have worked at independent shop for 45 years and deal with tires. its either goodyrs or firestone destination tires explode because the belts separate on the inside and you never have a warning.

I put a set of terra grapplers on my wifes 13 4x4 and they have been great in the snow and for the somewhat aggressive tread pattern they seem to be quiet. in the pacific north west lots of wheelers use the terra grapplers and recommend them. i will be putting a set of the nitto 420s on my 07 but im sure the rears will last about a year anyway.
