Man I am always missing the point. Right now I'm interested in a locker. At some point probably 2 years from now I'll want 4.56 gears. The difference between 3.55 and 3.92 is not enough for me to justify $700 + shipping.

I think I'll keep my eye out for a used Power trax on ebay.

Jeff

Not sure about the term "anti locker"... unless that's the place where my uncle's wife hangs up her golf clothes
Anti-spin, locker, posi-traction, posi-rearend, etc. all pretty much mean the same thing.

Not quite, MR Hemi! Usually a "locker" refers to a selectable, fully locking differential (air or electric) which acts as a limited-slip (LS) when turned off, whereas the others refer to a simple LS.

BTW, the prices for suspensions, wheels, and tires at Eastern Off-Road were normal retail, not overpriced like the Superchips ($479-crazy) and AirAid products (even crazier).

Oh good... so it was just a few things that were severely over-priced...

Ok then, MrHemi, how much for a '03 2500 rear, 4.10 with posi? I guess I would have to get a front one as well since I have a 4x4, and do you know how much it would cost to get it here to the "wet" coast??

Hey BRR, how big of a tire are you going to run? If your going to change gears, I'd wait until you can get the 4.56's out of the Power Wagon. Going from 3.73 to 4.10 is only a 10% increase. Going to 4.56 is a 22% change. With this "double overdrive" 5 speed auto we have, I can't justify to myself the expense of changing unless I go up to the 4.56's. Just some food for thought.

Racer20 has a good point BRR... but it's up to you. Let me know if you still want the 4:10 rearend - I can call Tuesday for you. Shipping really won't be that bad since it'll be coming from Texas.
