... but jeez! What idiot gets under a car held up only by a jack?!

I don't even like to trust jack stands.

That's scary stuff. I do a lot of work on my truck alone. I block the wheels and use jack stands plus usually have a wheel stuck under the frame just to be safe. I keep my cell close at hand. But if the old girl fell on me I'd be done for. It's good to have a happy ending.

If I'm working under my truck. I use no less than six jack stands and any of the tires that are off of the truck. And leave the floor jack in a secondary safe position on the frame.

When pulling the trans, use all eight of my jack stands and the tires stay on.

Better safe than sorry.

Unbelievable!!! Discounting the lack of planning or safety on his part.

There are many instances where people have done things that under normal circumstances they couldn't even think about doing. I'll bet a case of beer that no one here could move a car much less lift it off someone and push it aside. It wasn't his time for some reason.....

And this Sunday I get to go help my son put a Magnaflow system on his new truck and a lowering kit.
