Fuel Wheels

Does anyone have Fuel wheels on their truck? Are they worth the price? Their kind of pricy?

Would a 17" wheel work on a stock 03 1500 without doing a bunch of extra crap to it like a lift or spacers? I don't know jack about this stuff Couldn't find anything on Fuel in earlier posts.

Generally speaking is if you are using drop spindles. The lower ball joint stud will need to be ground down for the 17" to fit.

I didn't know this wheel was Fuel at first, just knew it was what Jeremy McGrath used in LOORS racing. It might be that my brain hasn't fully developed yet, but I think this design looks awesome. Chrome wheels just don't do anything for me, and most of Fuel wheels look chromed.

These things have got to be tough to take 900hp and big dirt jumps.

Lol! OK - had to look up what spindles were. Now I know. So the ball joint stud will rub on the back wheel if it's not ground down? Is it easy to grind down the stud without damaging it? I wan't to learn more about working on my own truck, but I'm still kind of intimidated to do stuff I don't know anything about. Obviously, I didn't even know what a spindle was

Thanks for the info though!

I used a hand grinder when I did mine and I also used the thinner lock nut. Eventually I gave up on using 17's and went to 18's.

Tough looking wheel - I would agree that 18's might be best in the long run.
