Drag race tires??

For u guys that go to the track, what tires to u use and what size??? I can't find drag radials or ET streets for my 17s.. I have a set of ET streets for my Monte Carlo but they are 27in diameter on 15 weld wheels and don't know if the duel pattern would match up??

275*50*17 M&H Racemaster drag radials. Hoosier makes a slick that will fit 17" also.

I have been on the fence on running DR's full time.

Currently with my 275/55/17's street tires, all the D.O.T 17" DR's are just to short in size.

Either do MT 295/45/17's on the rear and my 275/55/17 on the front. That will be about inch in taller on the front. Or run staggered with current 17's on the front and 18's on the rear with Nitto DR's.

Or run a good quality winter tire which i have no idea on what to look for.

Nitto,M+H,Mickey Thompson,BF Goodrich are a few company's that make 17 inch drag radials. sizes such as 275/40/17,275/45/17,275/50/17 and I think there are some 295 and 315 sizes also....all are around 26 inches tall....

I found some drag tires at Moes performance. think the tallest is a 28". Would 28" be good with 3:92 gears in the 1/8th mile??
