Cooper Discover H/T

Anyone have or had these tires?? It's that time again for some new skins! Will never buy Yokohama again as all four wore differently in almost 5 years!!

When i bought my 07 in December the dealership had put those on it. I'm afraid i can't speak for how good they are yet, but they were free. I've heard several people complain of short tread life with Coopers. I'll be keeping a close eye on mine as they get some miles on them.

I only have them because they were free. Would i buy them again? Probably not as I've heard too many negatives about them to risk it. Sorry i can't be of more help...

The reason I thought about these tires is because I used to work at pep boys and would check out them out .. they look like a really good tire!! And pep boys usually has a buy 3 get the 4th free!! Seems like a really good deal ..

I liked the Cooper /HT's, gave good traction and seemed to wear ok, I would guess they were a little softer than the high mileage tires. But good performance wise. I bought a set of Dunlop 5000's last year and all but one had hard spots that rode horrible. Won't buy Dunlops again. Tire store replaced them and I chose General UHP which I also like.

I have the Cooper Discoverer HT Plus on my truck. Great tires. I do a lot of highway driving and they are smooth and quiet. They have a nice aggressive tread on them as well. I have had them 9 months now and the wear has been great. Just have to make sure you rotate them regularly.

Yes rotation is key and not the smoky rotate either

Had Goodyear Wranglers 275/60/20 on the bee since new. Done 45000miles on them without any problems.

Down to 4 mils of tread at the moment. legal tread in NZ is 1.5 mils. So I'm going to have to replace tyres sometime this year. I think NZ roads have treated the tyres well.

I would replace them with the wranglers but the largest size available here is 245/60/20. So I either have to import some 275's or go to another brand, which is why i watch and listen with interest, to what you all have to say about road rubber So many decisions, its no wonder I have trouble sleeping.

The Coopers were not very expensive at all. Probably one of the cheaper ones out of all that I was looking at. I paid just over $1000 installed. I didn't like the stock Wranglers that came with the truck. The tread did not last very long. They were great when they were new but disappointed with the life of the tire. I'm not an off road type of guy either so I needed something that was quiet and smooth for all of the highway driving that I do.

This is a Cooper H/T 285/55-20. 31" tall.

I like the look of the shorter tire.
