It's probably fading. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that chrome clad finish isn't the best when it comes to durability and salt. I'm having the same issue with my front bumper on the bottom half of it. It actually has pits from rocks which are now rusting. Crappy thing is I washed my truck weekly during the winter to prevent this sort of thing.

A bit of advise, get some steel wheels and winter or off-road tires for snow use anad save the 20s for summer. I use 17" wheels I bought from Tire Rack w/ tires mounted and balanced. Ebay is another source for steelies. You can usually find stock Ram wheels somteimes with tires for a pretty reasomanble amount of money (I should have done this TR is expensive!)

should they be covered under warranty? I already got over 36000, so i know what the dealer is going to say "sorry your over the mileage" this sucks!!

I'm not sure if they would be....I'm going to talk to my dealer about my front bumper though. I'm sure if you put up enough fuss they might do something for you. It might not be a warranty thing, but a 'keep the customer happy' thing.

I think the Dodge Rims they charge you an arm and lag for really SUCK!
"ANY" Upgrades from Dodge are not worth the money if you can get that part or a like one from somewhere else.
